While the objective lens cover will only fit the 1 1/2' objective, the eye piece lens cover will fit many of the smaller tubes, with 1' & 1 1/4 diameter objectives. I got the scope for a very low price since it was somewhat cosmetically challenged and missing the screw in lens caps. This set of lens covers accurately replicates the lens covers/caps originally provided by the Unertl factory in Pennsylvania. Recently I purchased a Unertl 1 1/4' Target scope for my WIN M-75. You have a super scope, equal to some of the so called high rollers and it is quite valuable in its own right as a classic. Unertl Rifle Scope LENS CAPS, 1 1/2' OBJECTIVE: 50.00. If you have a spring installed the scope will reposition itself automatically.if not gently pull the scope reward until it hits the stop ring. I'm curious about the model you have.what is the tube diameter, style of crosshairs, eye relief and does the scope have screw-in lens protective caps? Are the bases standard or Bosa style? Don't forget to put a drop or two of light oil on the top rail the scope slides on during recoil. In setting the optics use the ocular optic for sharpening the cross hairs only.once you've achieved that clean crisp picture then you can use the objective lens to bring the target into sharp focus and you're good to go. Each click is 1/4 m.o.a."Springer2" forgot to mention that the front mount is the pivot mount.
When I shot on the Army Rifle Team we had two Match Grade M-14s. And I have a Unertl 6X Target Scope on it like the one in the picture. The only 22 Target Rifle I have had for years is a Model 19 NRA Target Rifle like the one in the picture. Lastly the scope come with a front and rear metal screw on protective caps. There are 3 lens assemblies (objective, occular, and one in the middle), and the cross hairs are literal crossed wires in front of the occular bell (be careful, easy to snap them). Very NICE RIFLES And I hope you can locate a Lens Cap as you advises. Unfortunately trying to take a picture through a 20x target riflescope is not easy. Gently re-tighten the allen screws and you're set to go. I really regret that I did not have the right camera set up to show you just how clear and sharp a Unertl in good condition can be. Now when you adjust the scope for a difference scenerio you can always retun the scope to zero which was you sighting in position. Zero your rifle for whatever range you want, loosen the knobs and set the scale to"O"and retighten the knobs. Each of those knobs by the way accept a very small allen wrench to loosen the knobs to "free" ed for setting up the scope, sighting in and then returning the knobs, not to reposition the scope.
I learned through trial and error that the threads are so fine that movement of the scope itself is hard to detect but it was moving. Had between 5mm to 7mm eye relief, got tired of having to pay for new glasses and the blackout zone was large. It was not waterproof, had a metal back lens, scratched up glass glasses and made plastic lens unusable. At first I thought my micrometer adjustments weren't working as it had been in storage for many years according to the man I bought it from. The Unertl had beautiful glass, sharp, clear, etc.
